At WWDC they talked about AVP of course and one of the things they mentioned was privacy and limited tracking from your eyes. Websites and apps won’t be able to see where you’re looking, but just get input from the system when a user taps or allows explicit access to the app. I just noticed in the TikTok app on AVP, every now and then there’s an empty post and you can look around and concentric circles follow where your eyes are. Weird right? So, do we think TikTok can see where we are looking? Or this happens to just be something systematically tracked. Like say TikTok just had a random spacer for some unknown reason, and has an overlay that is controlled by the system, or is it controlled by the app since it can see where we look. I went into settings and TikTok hasn’t even requested any special access for anything. Just a weird niche thing I noticed and I wonder if anyone else noticed this as well or even cares.
