I'm just curious to know if the improvements I've noticed after the latest Android update are typical for other users as well, or if it's just coincidence.
Note: I'm using a Pixel 3.
Before: Prior to Android 10, I would completely lose Visible service every time I connected to WiFi networks for extended periods of time (longer than an hour or so). This was particularly problematic at my house because I wouldn't realize that I had lost service until I either a) received a notification of a missed call from Google Voice, or b) left the house and notice that I had no signal sometime later on. While connected to WiFi the signal meter always showed 1 bar, whether or not I was actually connected, and only showed zero bars after disconnecting from WiFi. To reconnect, I had to go into airplane mode for about 15 seconds and then reconnect or restart the phone. This pattern was very consistent. I would also sometimes lose connection while not connected to WiFi, but not nearly as often.
After: Following the update to Android 10, I haven't experienced this issue a single time. Now when I'm connected to WiFi the signal meter shows 1-2 bars, and when I disconnect from WiFi the meter immediately goes all the way up and the LTE symbol pops up as it should. It's only been 4 days since updating but considering how consistent the issue was previously, I can't help but wonder if the issue was somehow fixed within the OS. I had to manually reconnect to Visible no less than 5 times daily previously, but now the service has been nearly perfect.
What about you other Pixel users? Have you noticed this improvement since updating? Did you even have the same issue before?
