My Situation

I was an anxious kid in high school and it led to some missed opportunities with relationships. I tried a bit harder in college, but then my education started having ups and downs due to bad time management and bad luck with some family health stuff. I dropped out for a bit and felt kind of left behind from my friends which made it hard to look for relationships among my peers since I felt a bit out of place while I finished school. But after turning 30 and the pandemic I took a much more conscious effort in being healthier, doing some therapy, watching out for my mental health, and enrolled in a master's program to make more dramatic changes in my work and personal life.

About Me

I'm a 32 year old grad student, in an engineering field, pale and lightly bearded with messy wavy hair. I'm 5'6", 150lb, an average build. I do yoga sometimes since sitting at a computer is terrible for posture. I value learning, and good humor, and curiosity. I like film and electronic music, but I can listen to any genre and love music and film recommendations. I'm into most of that nerdy/geeky stuff, I grew up on gaming, and say that I like anime but I hate most of the popular stuff. I study a lot of technical stuff so I love reading and learning about art as an escape. I've only traveled a little bit and recently have been getting the itch to travel more.

What I'm looking for

I think a good attitude and positivity are the most important things I'm looking for. Also someone that can empathize and understand. So that we can both relax and have fun in this situation without worry. Probably around a similar build to me. Hopefully also educated or into being healthy and without unnecessary drama. I also understand that attraction is also important on here so I'm happy to send pics if you seem like a real person.

Logistics

I'm regularly in the DTLA area. I would like this to be ongoing to build confidence but am ok with a short term thing. But I would probably host at a hotel, located downtown or wherever is most convenient. I also have a car so I can travel within reason. I'm ok with going to the valley or OC, and SD for the right situation.
