Okay, yeah, I realise that the title is more than a little full-on, and I also realise that my chances of finding my life partner on Reddit are extremely slim… and yet here I am. Why? Well, for starters, I was struggling to fit all this into my Tinder bio…

Jokes aside, I’m here because I’ve got a fairly clear idea of what I’m looking for in a partner but I’m really struggling to find that person. I’ve suffered through far more online dating than anybody should ever have to endure, but the vast majority of people I met either weren’t interested in a serious relationship or simply weren’t my type. I suppose my hope is that by posting here I can reach more people, and that somebody – maybe even you – might like what you read and decide to reach out.

I should probably write a little about myself before I get to my list of demands, though, so here it goes. First and foremost, I consider myself to be a pretty thoughtful and generally decent person. I’m not perfect by any means, and I definitely have things to work on, but I can promise you that much at least. I’d say that I’m more of an introvert than an extrovert but, once I’m comfortable with you, you’ll probably struggle to get me to shut up haha

I consider trust to be the most important thing in any relationship and so I rarely - if ever - tell lies. I suppose I’m also a bit of a (so far hopeless) romantic, hence my decision to wait until I meet the right person.

In terms of my interests, I like football (watching, though I used to play), gaming, and long conversations about topics which most people probably find pretty dull – over a pint or two, preferably. I won’t say what exactly it is that I do, but I’m a professional and so I do spend a fair bit of time working, though when I’m not working I’m equally happy in a bar or restaurant as I am to be wrapped up in a duvet working my way through whatever show I’m currently watching. Looks-wise, I’m a little on the shorter side at 5’8” but I’m decently built, have short brown hair, blue eyes, and a beard.

I’m looking for somebody who’s a similar age (18-25), is genuinely sweet, kind, and honest, and is similarly ‘inexperienced’. As I said, trust and commitment are absolutely vital and so I’m looking for somebody who can promise me that from the outset. Physical attraction is obviously important, too, but my only preferences in that respect are that you’re a healthy weight and preferably my height or shorter. Oh, and I’m also not a huge fan of tattoos or piercings (besides the ears), sorry – that’s not to say they don’t look good, they’re just not for me. Those last couple of sentences aside, there are obviously far more important things than looks, and it’s far rarer to find someone who you really connect with.
