I've been thinking about my virginity lately more than I'd like, since I turned 31 last week and my younger brother got engaged. I'm the only one in my immediate family without a partner, and I can't keep holding up my dog for family photos.

I also decided to stop going out with a lovely woman I was seeing after four dates because we had no similar interests. Like, seriously, it's amazing to me how little we had in common hobby wise despite similar values.

Appearance

I have an adorable dog, though he is pretty stranger averse.

I've dated here and there but never really progressed into physical intimacy, for a variety of reasons. Supposedly, you only need two things: chemistry and timing. I haven't been able to find both at the same time.

Excluding a romantic partner, I've got most of my shit together. I have my mortgage on auto-pay and I've been running a D&D campaign for close to a year. I'll also be traveling to Belfast, Northern Ireland for work this year, which I'm looking forward to.

Partner preferences

Communication and patience/kindness are my top two requirements. I'll take you at your word if you play hard to get. You say "not interested," I say "good luck, I hope you find what you're looking for" and move on.
