So, someone asked where the term RVA came from.
Prior to the coined term, which I’ll tell you who started it and why in a second, the city was referred to as Richmond, Virginia.
The term “RVA” comes from Krissy from the radio and her deadbeat friends. The girl did not go attend a big D1 university with sports.
So she got pissed and decided to coin the term RVA as a backlash to kids her age wearing their 3 letter university (UVA, VCU, USC, etc.). She was sick that she couldn’t put pride up for a university and since she came from Mechanicsville and worked on the Radio. She used it as a slap in the face to anyone who graduated from a D1 school.
You can say RVA if you want but the city is called Richmond. Richmond is in italics and cursive to represent this city.
It’s a total disappointment to see out of towners bleet off “RVA” and I roll my eyes every. Single. Time.
I don’t even live there anymore and when I exited the loophole, it’s easy to see the town full of disrespectful punks in jeans, bdsm wear, and extensive black mascara.
Richmond is home to many people. RVA is gay.
