Thinking about Moving here

Hello Virginians,
Been thinking about moving to Virginia from Texas. Just seems like a good idea. I love the scenery in Virginia, how close it is to the beach, the mountains, and not a bad drive to New York. Just wondering about everything else. I am told that people here drive slower but everything is always hearsay.
Please provide me with any information that could help convincing me one way or another. Thank you in advance.
