Are there any other towns like Floyd that are cute , quirky, small/historical ?

Iād love to plan a mini vacation for me and my little family in the next couple months . We went to Floyd for a weekend and fell in love. We moved to Virginia a few years ago and have never really been outside of the town we live in ( we live about an hour and a half south of Richmond ) . Thank you in advance for any suggestions ! Virginia is a beautiful state and id love to visit somewhere with some awesome food , cute little shops .. easily walkable .
