Book direct or with TA?

Post Body
Hi! Looking for a bit of advice here....I went on the Scarlet Lady this past October on a cruise I booked directly through Virgin. Watching this thread it seems like a TA would be a better option...I'm just curious why. I'm looking to book a cruise in November but in the past few days the price has fluctuated by a few hundred....would a TA be able to help with that?
I appreciate any advice! Thanks!
