I was supposed to receive a VM broadband kit today, and after several hours of chasing through different phone lines to get support, only to be told that I can't get any help with failure to deliver because all support is tied to account numbers and I don't have one until I sign the contract, I decided to cancel the order and find a new provider.
However, upon calling the line to cancel, I get an automated response along the lines of "due to covid, we've closed this line" and it hangs up. I don't see any other way to cancel my order. Am I able to just refuse to sign the contract when they send the box, or am I going to have to get a solicitor involved?
