Should i stay or should i go?
Post Body

Just got the infamous price hike letter in the post this morning and have been ringing virgin and o2 since half past 9 this morning.

managed to get them to drop the price from £44 to £35, the package i was on was mixit tv, landline, and gig1. I also had to get an o2 sim card which was 11 quid on top of the £44.

i managed to cancel the o2 card with little issues other than the fact that o2 kept deciding to hang up when they said they would transfer me, i got around this by using the actual o2 phone number instead of going through the virgin number,

So i'm debating this £35 offer for just the gig1 or cityfibre have installed full fibre to the premisis and so far the cheapest provider is vodafone for the same £35 as virgin, the only benefit of going vodafone that i can see is that upload is symetrical but i was always content with the 52mbits i got from virgin as i never uploaded videos and live streamed etc, but i'm debating on what i should do.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated also anyone who is on gig1 only so no o2 sim if you would reply your price so i could get a sense of if this is a good deal or not.

thank you all in advance.
