I'm looking to upgrade my project DC TT. Ideally I would just upgrade to an x1 but the funds and times don't call for that crazy of an upgrade. I was thinking of perhaps just upgrading from my ortofon red cartridge to one of the sumiko cartridges. The Sumiko ranier is the standard on the x1 and at $149 cheaper than an ortofon blue. The others are olympia at $199 and moonstone at $299. There are other more expensive ones but I would stop at the moonstone. So does anyone use a sumiko cart? If so the rainier, olympia or moonstone? Is it worth the switch from ortofon to sumiko in terms of sound quality upgrade. Any feedback much appreciated.
