About me: I’ve been a vinyl lover and collector for 25 years. I moonlight periodically at a record store, sorting, grading, shipping and selling records. Because of that, I have some experience in honestly assessing record condition and value. I use the Goldmine scale for grading. I try to grade conservatively, because I know it can be disappointing to receive an over-graded record and I don’t want that to happen to anyone else.

All the records listed here have been visually graded for both the cover and vinyl, as well as play graded. Along with the grading, I’ve made note of any concerns in the description of each album. There is also a link to photos of each album so you can see what you’re buying.

All records have been hand wet-washed and then vacuum cleaned on a Nitty-Gritty record cleaner.

Payment is Paypal only. Paypal charges me a processing fee. You can save $2.00 per record if you choose to send payment as family/friend instead of goods/services. Shipping is by USPS Media Mail with tracking and insurance. Shipping is $5.00 for the first record and $1.50 for each additional record. I take the time to make sure the records well packed. Cover: VG; Includes lyrics insert. Cover has some very early signs of ring wear at the top and bottom of the front. Similar ring wear bottom back cover, with a little more pronounced ring edge on top back. A few small dents/bends on the bottom front and left side. Ding on the bottom corner on the jacket opening side. AUTOGRAPHED BY THE BAND with signatures in thick sharpie and appear to be Josh Colbert, Steve Kleisath, Chad Neptune, and Derick Cordoba. Top left corner includes the words “atta boy skip” in the same black sharpie.
Vinyl visual: VG ; slight pressing warp only noticeable when sitting eye level with spinning turntable. Some spindle marks on side-A label.

Cover: VG; Several dents/bends on spine edges. Some very, very light ring wear forming on left side cover. Small seam split at bottom of jacket. General light scuffs. AUTOGRAPHED BY THE BAND signatures in thick black sharpie and appears to be Jason Martin and Jeff Cloud.
Vinyl visual: VG-; Multiple scuffs and light scratches.
Vinyl play grade: VG/VG ; Plays much stronger than looks would indicate. Track B3 (track 9) has tick in intro of part-A and part-B.

Cover: VG; Would be VG , but there is a dent on the front lower-left spine side. Also has a barely perceptible hint of ring wear on the front cover that can only be seen by holding it at a particular angle in the light.
Vinyl visual: VG-. Vinyl looks rough, with a lot of scuffs and light scratches. Many look like paper scuffing from the original sleeve or handling from the pressing plant.
Vinyl play grade: VG ; despite the looks, it plays very well.

Cover: VG ; Includes insert. Back cover has small ring indent on top back cover and a couple of light spots.
Vinyl visual: VG ; has a few small, light spots of different colored vinyl (tan?), probably residual from the end run of a different color. But I would consider this a white pressing.
Vinyl play grade: VG/VG ; Light tick 3/4 into track B4 about 10 seconds long. Intro to track B5 has a 2-3 second light tick as well.

PENDING Pedro The Lion - Winners Never Quit

Cover: VG-; Includes insert. Cover has some lighting staining and rough-feeling patches on otherwise smooth matte cover. Heavy bends/creases, especially on the spine side. Cover has “rolling” areas where it should be flat. If I were to guess, I think that someone may have tried to wipe the cover down and it created the rough spots and the “rolling” is the result of light moisture damage.
Vinyl visual: VG-; Has multiple light scuff and scratches. There are a couple of black spots that appear to be residual from the end run of a different color run. It looks as though the previous owner tried to clean them off before realizing that they were actually part of the vinyl, as there is light scuffing all those areas and a scratch on one of them.
Vinyl play grade: VG/VG ; Light tick on A2. Light tick on outro of B3 and intro to B4. Light surface noise beginning on B4.

SOLD Air - The Virgin Suicides

Cover: Light ring wear forming of front top and bottom. Very light ring on back cover. Top spine shows some wear but is not split. Edge wear on LP opening.
Vinyl visual: G- (side A), VG/VG (side B). There is a substantial, long, deep, meandering scratch that runs across tracks A1-A4. Side B looks to be in very good condition.
Vinyl play grade: G- (side A), VG/VG (side B). Harsh skips on tracks A1-A4. There’s no sugar coating it, this is a very bad scratch. I would consider tracks A1-A4 basically unplayable. Possibly needle damaging. BUT, tracks A5-A7 and all of side B play at least VG, but I would say closer to VG .
