Convertible top issue
Post Body

  1. My convertible top is not lifting. It sounded like it was working fine. A different sound from when the fluid is low.

I discovered the cylinder arm on the passenger side was not attached to the bracket in the roof. I fished around and found the bolt and a couple of plastic grommets behind the panel. I know the bolt matches the driver’s side but I can’t tell if the grommets belong there. No sign of the cotter pin.

I don’t know how in the heck that cotter pin came out!!

I bumped the switch and got the cylinder arm lined up with the bracket. I just wanted to find out how the two plastic grommets fit in.

I don’t have a cotter pin. Is there a work-around for one?

Thanks!
