Any ideas for adding length to this beautiful dress?

Post Body

I found this gorgeous dress in a vintage shop near me. They had it tagged "40s-50s" era. I'm thinking 40s? Its clearly home made (but very well done!!) so that makes it a little harder to tell. No ability to look up the brand etc.

I thought it was gorgeous and couldn't pass it up- if I can't make it fit me I still have a plan for it- but Id really like it to lol. I'm 5'10 so everything vintage is usually too short unfortunately. Any ideas for adding a little length without making it look too weird? Sleeve length would be good too.

Ps- plz ignore the slippers- It was freezing that day lol.
