iMac G4 Yellowing Bezel

Hey Guys,
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post, but I have an issue with my G4 iMac. The bezel has yellowed over time - which is common - but I'm wondering if retro bright or a light would be able to fix it. The issue is that while the back of the white bezel is exposed, the front is covered with clear acrylic. Will the chemicals be absorbed by the plastic from behind or will it need to be on the face?
