So I’ve watched the anime and I’m just reading the manga and I don’t believe or I can’t recall in the anime that Canute was compared to Thors based on his eyes or maybe he was and I didn’t pick up on it, but why? My understanding of the whole true warrior thing was about realising starting war and fights could never truly bring peace. You protect what’s yours and what you believe is right and don’t let greed get the best of you.
Canute at this point is a mad man. His mind to me seems to be lost and fixated on a goal of bringing the kingdom of the lord to earth but by becoming the devil? To walk a bloody path and create piles of bodies in hopes to grow a land soaked in blood. I can’t understand why he’d have the same look as Thors in the eyes of Thorkell.
Or is that because he doesn’t want mindless killings and every murder will be purposeful, from Thorkell’s perspective it resonates similar to what he saw in Thors?
