Holy shit, I feel for you Gen Z! While all women (or people in general lol) can have struggles with their appearance at all ages, I really feel for Gen Z because you guys have to grow up with filters and being bombarded with social media. I’m 27, so I obv deal with way too much screen time too, but when I see my nieces and nephews I am appalled - they’re always on, and always seeing altered bodies, or people at their best - no one posts their dead eyed Monday morning look first thing in the morning, take it from a woman who posts Monday morning selfies - the amount of effort that goes into not looking like an owl is substantial 😂.

I think this sub is cool because it allows a platform to openly and honestly and realistically discuss these things. I didn’t have that growing up and I was an ugly duckling. I looksmaxxed before I knew it a thing, but holy shit this would have been helpful knowledge in a central base back then. Even YouTube was so shit compared to literal beauty life hacks on tiktok. If you’re motivated, in 45 minutes you can turn your entire day around. Sometimes I’m not motivated to try and that’s always been when I am feeling depressed about other things. It sounds like many of you may fixate on your perceived flaws and. I can’t imagine how hard that would be. Es please make sure to take breaks and to always at some point on the day take a step back and a deep breath and realize that we are all carbon and we shall return to carbon one day don’t let this overwhelm your entire life. Looks matter. Yes they do. They can impact your quality of life in a multitude of ways. Just remember not to neglect the holistic wellness of your life in the process. Don’t lose yourself chasing ideals of perfection. You should feel beautiful every day and take the steps necessary to ensure you do look and feel both objectively and subjectively beautiful, but also focus on your hobbies, your goals, your desires. Focus on feeling good and doing things that make you feel good while also chasing. The things that make you look good. It’s all about balance!

Thanks for reading if you got this far. Good luck on your beauty and life journeys ❤️❤️❤️
