My girlfriend and I are booked to fly into Hanoi for 2 nights before we head to Ha Giang to complete the Loop.

However I have a few queries…

EasyRider or Self-Drive; my preference would be to self-drive, however my gf does not ride a motorcycle so she would need to be on the back. Is this safe?

I’m in the same boat as a lot of other people where I do not have experience on a semi-auto, but I’m a quick learner and have experience driving scooters around Thailand for nearly two months. Also thinking an option could be to hire a private easyrider for GF and I self drive? Anyone have any experience of booking an easy driver and putting them up with accommodation etc etc?

Or do we both do easy rider but preference would be small groups and private rooms as we’re not massively into partying? Any recommendations on tour operators who could assist would be welcomed?
