Tips for shooting and editing cooking videos
Post Body

Hello r/videoprofessionals

I just got a gig making some cooking videos, and I’m looking for advice. The goal is to make five 3 minute videos with a chef and host, and then cut those down to 30 second to 1 minute “buzzfeed” style recipe videos.

The agency wants to supply the equipment. They have 2 C100s, a 70-200, and some lowel tota lights. I’m thinking I’ll use my sigma 18-35 for the wide shot, the 70-200 for close ups, and then I could light it with two totas through some large umbrellas. We are shooting at the CEOs home.

Has anyone here done anything like this? I’m just looking for tips and advice. I’ve gotten paid to do food photography before and I’ve been trying to get into making food videos for a while.
