Sorry in advance if this is not the correct subreddit to post this question.

I have the Sony A7 Mark 2 and a Blue Yeti microphone for recording my videos and having better quality audio during the videos. The main problem I’m having is that, in order for the audio to record through the microphone, I also need to have my computer connected as well. If I plus my audio cables into the camera and microphone, either the internal camera audio recorder will be used, or the recording will be silent (even after ensuring the microphone is not on mute). If I plug my microphone into my computer via USB, then connect the camera to the microphone with the audio jacks, and choose to use my blue yeti as the audio input, then and only then will my camera use the blue yeti for audio when recording.

I am guessing that it is due to the settings in the computer, and I have not yet found a setting to change in the camera itself to allow the microphone to record audio. I would much prefer to not have to connect these devices through my computer if possible. Does anyone have any information/advice for this issue?
