Post Body

So I'm brand new to editing and I saw that sony vegas would be a good software to start with, for making YouTube let's plays specifically. But I was wondering if you guys had any tips or advice for me before I just dive right into this editing thing. I edit my first episode on Sunday and it goes up Monday, I know how to sync up the audio and video and stuff like that, I know VERY basic stuff ( I'm completely self taught as of right now, until I can get the money to go to school for it) so they main thing that I'm scared of right now is the audio, adjusting the highs and lows of the episode, all the spikes and stuff, canceling out background noise, that's my biggest fear, does anyone have any advice they could share with me? Any and all will be appreciated, even a link to a video tutorial would really be appreciated, thanks in advance guys.

TL;DR. I edit my first Let's Play episode on Sunday and was looking for any helpful tips on it.
