I'm in the process of converting all of the home videos from vhs to DVD. Each VHS might have 4-5 different events and the VHS converter makes just one long .mp4. Is there any free software that will let me splice up the long video and then save each of those files individually as a .mp4 or what ever. Currently the only way I've figured it out is to basically splice a video in windows movie maker then delete all the other clips and save one, then reopen the project and do the same for another clip. This method works but is clunky and prone to me missing a clip somewhere. Thanks!
