Hi y'all. This is a redo of a post that I put up last week and ultimately deleted because I thought that my converters were actually putting out good voltage. Turns out that is not the case. I have a Victron set up in my RV. I run a 24V system with 10 LiFePO4 batteries installed. To power my 12 V system, I have two Orion 24/12 70A converters connected in parallel.
Once I disconnected the output side of both converters I was reading 0 V from either. I have good 26-27V going in and the grounds are good. I'm just getting nothing on either output side. Last week, I was apparently reading the voltage from a connected 12V battery online making me think they were operating normally.
Neither has a remote on/off switch installed and instead just have that bridge plug installed. I tried to read the manual and it talks about just needing "high current" to operate.
Does anyone have any troubleshooting steps or knows how these things work if it's something more than just applying input voltage? I took one down and opened it up because some models with lower amperage have installed fuses but I couldn't see anything like that inside. Last week I got a couple of tips on testing voltages and that was much appreciated and if you could comment again if it would help, thank you.
On the smart version you can control the output via the app. Also switch them between PSU mode and Charger mode.
Could be related? Not sure the feature set of the non smart version and how these modes are switched.
