BLUF: Speciality clinic is only doing checkups once a year, according to support group for illness, suppose to start every 3 months then move to yearly after 8 years. Need to ask for new specialists, how?

Howdy all, Medical Retired SGT- not my choice - 100% disability here.

Most of the time, pretty decent interaction with VA. Meds are late sometimes but noones perfect.

So, won't go into what illness I'm getting treated but, according to folk who also are treating it and an outside consult, I'm suppose to get 3-4 blood draws in the first 2 years.

I'm in year 2. I've had 2 check ups after diagnosis. I called to schedule a follow up, was told if I needed one, they'd have given me one.

The thing is, I know I'm on "starter" medicine because everyone who knows this illness is confused why I'm still on it after 2 years.

How do I request a new specialist provider or ask for a referral out?
