Should I File Supplemental Claim for IBS After Getting 100% P&T
Post Body

I was recently awarded 100% P&T (effective date: 7/15/24) upgraded from 90%. Now I’m considering whether I should file a supplemental claim for IBS (diarrhea) as a secondary condition to my service-connected depression/anxiety in hopes of receiving additional back pay.

If approved, I believe the effective date for the IBS claim would be October 2023, which could result in around 8 months of back pay.

However, I’ve heard that even submitting a new claim could potentially put my 100% P&T status at risk. I’d really appreciate hearing your thoughts or experiences with this kind of situation.

Thanks in advance!

Comments

Unless you think it’s a condition that’ll kill you, I’d leave well enough alone.
