G.I bill back pay

Hey guys. Can someone give me an insight of receiving G.I bill backpay? I’m currently receiving 60% because of how much time I’ve done on my 1st active duty contract, but I reenlisted into the National Guard shortly after separation and I’ve gained credible active duty time to receive 100% of my G.I bill. I just need to get in contact with someone from my old unit to receive a DD214 for that period served.
