What to tell coworkers who ask how I afford my rent?
Post Body

I work at a job where, in my department, we all make around the same amount, give or take a few dollars. Recently, a few of these coworkers found out we live in the same apartment complex that's conveniently located to the job. They're not high end, but still around $1500 monthly which is common for where we live. They can afford it because they have spouses and roommates. I live alone. They started to make comments questing how I can afford to live there on my salary since they know my normal income would barely be enough to live off of. I'm about to tell them I have a trust fund, but I don't know

Comments

I never understand this question.

Va comp is good โ€œextraโ€ money, but not questionable money.

Like 1500 in rent is not a crazy amount lol

Just say you are compensated from serving you country, and gives you some extra money every month to help
