I’ve been asking friends and reading what I can online. I was finally able to establish my education benefits and have been at it for a year. My next step is making an attempt for disability. Only issue: I have zero idea on where to start. I met a vet near Knox who helped me find the right people to file an intent to file through the VA, but once I got that letter in the mail he went MIA.
My intent to file was filed August of 2023 and I know it’s only good for a year. I have absolutely no idea what to do to help build my case and I was naive when I ETS’d and didn’t make any claims. Combat veteran and 8 years of service - Infantry.
Someone please help point me in the right direction. Also, break it down like I’m 6, I was infantry after all.
