Supplemental claim Ptsd.
Post Body

Has anyone had any success filing a supplemental claim for ptsd? Short version I was initially screened for ptsd by the VA but I flat out refused to attend C&P exam etc due to the fear of having my firearms taken away and the stigma that mental health problems are looked down upon in my career field. (LE 25 years). That being said I recently attended a family members funeral (military) and all those feelings I had been suppressing rose to the top. I was then encouraged by another vet to re-apply. I have since done so C&P completed etc. but will my initial refusal to participate have any bearing on my case? I am currently rated at 80% (physical) and am 3 years from my LE retirement. I also don't want the agency I work for to have working knowledge of my filing as it has not hampered my duty to protect and serve over the last 25 years.
