Submitted claim to move from 80 to 100% due to cancer.
Post Body

I ended up getting cancer while I was in, and then had surgery and it was Stage 1 and they actually tossed me back into active duty. well, I got out anyway and moved on with life ended up getting 0% rating for the cancer but overall, 80% for all the other stuff.

well lucky me I had a skip metastasis which only happens in 1 to 3% of cases for my cancer, and I sent in all the imaging and documents to prove the cancer got worse from Stage 1 to Stage 4.

it went from claim submitted, to initial review, to evidence gathering in under a week.

can I take this as a sign that I'll see some type of decision before I die? I joke but no, seriously... will I?

I'm not terminal hell this entire cancer thing due to my unique biology and tumor prognostication I don't require chemo, but the fact of the matter is, it got worse and while I have the rosiest picture Stage 4 is still Stage 4. And now i have to get a lifetime of periodic scanning which is expensive as hell even with insurance. I asked the DAV and they said "they should" but you never know any reason to not pay out is a good one to the VA.

anybody had similar timelines, experience?

Also if SC then the scans should also be covered ?
