Hello, so I am currently at 80%. I've been at 80% for about two years now. In July I admitted myself into the VA do to my mental state. I then went directly into my VA's mental health residential rehabilitation program for 63 days. While I was in there I talked to a VSO and was told that while under the care of the hospital for a service connected disability you are to be compensated at 100% (which would be back paid once you're discharged). That VSO told me that it was supposed to happen automatically but to go ahead a file for it just incase it doesn't happen bc you know it's the VA we're dealing with. Anyway so I did that plus went ahead and decided to file for increase with it. My claim shows "evidence type 356" three different times on Oct 3rd so I assume that the VA has received everything from my exam. Just wondering if anyone has experience with the back pay from long hospital stay and if anyone knows about how long the VA is currently taking on making decisions once they receive the exams. Last time I filed for unemployablity they made their decision in less than 3 days after my exams
