BDD and Short Notice Cancellation
I've got a question for the group...
I'm currently going through the BDD process. On the day of my virtual C&P appointment I got tagged for a mandatory appointment. I explained that I had the appointment and it was explained to me that the military comes first and I had to go in.
Immediately I called Optum to explain the situation.
I was told that the only thing they could do was cancel the appointment, and no fault to me because it was a mandatory military appointment, and reschedule.
The rep put me on hold to cancel, came back then put me on hold again to attempt to reschedule, and then she came back and told me since it was such a short notice cancellation they are then canceling all my future appointments and refering it back to the VA.
If I known that would be the case I would have worked a hell of a lot harder to not miss the virtual appointment. Instead she told me this would be no fault to me and then afterwards explained the short notice cancellation policy. This is the second time I've had an issue with Optum but the first was not this serious.
I immediately called the VA 800 number, they put in a request to reschedule all my appointments and sent it to the regional office, and now I'm waiting.
I also put in a request to the White House VA line.
I do have a copy of the mandatory appointment letter if the VA ever asks for it.
Is there anything else I need to be concerned about?
