VA Supplemental Claim

I filed a new claim and a supplemental claim (in the same filing). I received a ACE exam for my supplemental claim. Will the VA decide both the initial and supplemental at the same time or could they be rated independent of one another?
The VA app doesn’t give much feedback on timelines. Does an ace exam usually result in a quicker rating decision?
