Can't remote identify because I keep getting an error.

I've been trying to get my account identified but I run into this error: Error Code[i8]: You are only allowed one session at a time to remote proof your identity. Please close all your windows and try again. I had a session opened on my phone but it told me the device wasn't compatible so I switched over to my laptop. I closed all the tabs on both my phone and my laptop and it's still not working. I am thoroughly confused.
