I just called my local VA's COVID line and found out I can be put on a wait list to get the vaccine, regardless of being high or low risk, if there are extras at the end of the day. The vaccines they have must be used once they are thawed and I would have to be there within 20-30 minutes of the call. I'm not sure if all VA hospitals are doing this but it might be worth looking into.
Hope this helps and best of luck to everyone.
Update: I got on the wait-list today and already got the call to get the shot. I'm currently sitting at the VA making sure I don't bleed out of my eyes after getting the shot.
