Just found out that Texas Roadhouse took pictures from my Facebook and used them on their walls. Very weird.

Post Body

Hi guys, I was an Army Infantry guy, did time in the 75th and as a conventional Sniper. My friends are sending me photos of me in Afghanistan that were taken in 2012 and 2015 but they’re plastered on the walls of a Texas Roadhouse 160 miles from my house.

What would you do in this situation, other than make fun of those dorks for stealing your pictures?

Edit: Hey guys, thanks for all the great answers! I’m not pissed or anything. I took the pictures myself and put them on my Facebook from my camera that I carry overseas.

I do feel like they should have asked my permission, they’re my photos. I’m not petty, but I’m a business owner and my likeness and personality is a big part of what I do as a personal financial planner and investment advisor.

I’ll swing by and ask how they got the photos, if anyone is in Lawrence, KS feel free to check me out!

Final Update:

I got a DM from a guy I knew from college. He put a mural together with people he’d met and put some of my photos in it. He sent me pictures of the mural - it’s 7 feel long and I appear 4 times. He said he asked for permission (doubtful) at the time. Mystery solved, I’m not that salty about it.

Shameless plug: If you’re a Veteran in Kansas or Missouri and have financial questions, or need help navigating life post military feel free to DM me, I provide Pro Bono advice to those who have served a few hours a week.
