I plan to post this in r/college as well but thought Iād post here for some insight from the veteran community first.
So basically like the title says, looking for any insight on how doable this is. Background on myself, former Marine, got out in 2008. I was on unemployment for 6 months after separation and went to work in the oil and gas industry after that ran out, been doing it ever since. I have a good job with a great company but have recently started to think about my post 9/11 benefits expiring in a few years.
I hate the thought of letting them go to waste, but leaving my job to pursue school full time is also unrealistic. I also have an 80% disability rating. Iām ok with taking all online classes and only getting the $825, but I am more concerned with workload. I am off work and at home by 4:30 pm most days. No kids.
For those of you that have done it, is 15 credit hours a week doable with working a 40 hour week or is 12 more realistic? Is 12 hours enough to get the $825 bah? Thanks in advance, everyone!
Edit: Iām leaning towards studying logistics & supply chain management or environmental science.
