Post Body

I cut my finger and went to the local VA approved Urgent Care, which went smoothly.

They sent a prescription to CVS for antibiotics. Anyway, at CVS they didn't know how to process my prescription via VA, so I put it thru my insurance. I was $1.07 on my insurance

Anyway, I've used other urgent cares and they printed out a paper that I used at the pharmacy to pay. What paper did they print out for me?

Comments

There are two options. If you have the physical prescription or the urgent care doctor sent an electronic prescription to the pharmacy, you can let the pharmacy process the prescription with the community care program.

The other option is to bring the physical prescription paper from urgent care to your va primary care and have them write them a prescription to take to an approved pharmacy.
