Discharge upgrade and narrative reason for separation changed.

Post Body

After coming back from Afghanistan I was dealing with the symptoms of PTSD. A few months later I was also s assaulted after passing out in another marines room. I was diagnosed with PTSD by the psychiatrist on base. I ended up self medicating. I ended up accepting a separation in lieu of trial and an OTH. Fast forward 13 years I get my discharge upgraded and narrative reason for separation changed from separation in lieu of trial (SILT) to secretarial authority. I applied for compensation and the VA triggered a character of discharge COD review. Since the reason for separation is no longer because of trial in lieu of court martial should the VA grant my claims for benefits?
