Loss of friend

I recently lost a dear friend who was one of my best friends in the army, and it’s devastating. I was there through his worst of times, and he was there for mine, until an IED took his leg in Afghanistan. Little contact since then, but hearing the news of his death feels like I’ve lost the only person who can truly relate to what I’m going through. I’m glad he’s not in pain anymore, but it’s lonely right now.
