Post Body

4 years active duty 11B with 2 combat deployments. Iraq and Afghanistan Now 4 years in the reserves.

I filed a claim last July on 3 separate conditions.

Sleep apnea: which was diagnosed via VA sleep study and prescribed a cpap. VA declined the claim.

Head aches and migraines. Been seeing my primary care about them and has been prescribing medications to try and deal with them. Claim denied.

Chronic fatigue syndrome and gulf war syndrome. Also talked with my primary care and have been running tests on blood work and medications for the chronic congestion and breathing problems with my nose. Also denied.

Ive appealed to a have a higher person review the claims and am just looking if anyone here has any insight or experience dealing with this when getting treated and diagnosed with things by the va but there claims being denied at the same time. Thanks every one in advance.

That is how service-connection works. You do need to prove it happened in service or was caused by service.

You don’t actually “apply for pact act”. The PACT act is just outlines a set of new factors the VA takes into account for every claim no matter what.
