Was drawing serum off a blood sample and went to put the cap on the needle and stabbed myself in the finger pretty good. Now my finger is swollen 🤦🏻♀️
I asked others in my practice and they said I would be fine. I've pricked myself with a dirty needle before but never got this swelling, also never pricked after the needle being in blood.
Idk I need extra reassurance or someone to tell me to go to a doctor.
Once I was cleaning up after I placed an IV catheter, and the needle was behind a paper towel and I didn’t see it. I ended up grabbing at the needle without knowing and it went straight into my finger. I’m a little bitch about needles when it comes to myself so I just stood there panicked. My coworker got it out for me lol. I ended up not having an issue. But yeah swelling is no bueno
