Yesterday at work a doctor had me read a tape prep of a dog and she had lots of yeasts but nothing else. She waa asking if I saw anything else and I said no but I hadn't read the entire slide yet (takes me a while), and she said that was fine if I had looked at a couple of fields I didn't need to scan the entire thing. So I wanted to ask, do you do the same thing for ear cytologies as far as reading a couple different fields and not looking over the entire slide? When I did my shelter rotation one girl told me she didn't read the entire slide just a few fields for each ear. Is this correct?
