It also later shows clips of the world college tournament where he fight against the teacher from Japan who reappears this season. They didn't meet each other until way later in the novel the Vampires in Hangzhou arc was in Chapter 430 - 455. While the first time they meet was in the Overseas Experience 1 (Japan) Chapter 751 - 844 so almost 300 chapters later in between that time span season 6 happened which is the Birth of a Fiery Hetera Chapter 456 - 511 also know as the flame belle arc where she was born and mo fan adopted her. This season shows scenes of Mo fan and the rest of students participating in the world college tournament during their trip to Japan in chapters 800-844. So we have skipped from the vampire arc in season 6 and now this supposed to be season 7 but is actually happened beforehand so it's it no supposed to be season 5.5. The weirdest part is this season shows clips from their trip to Japan and then skips to looking for the red demon which doesn't happen until years later in the novel during the Case of the Cold Hunter King Chapter 2365 - 2403 we skipped over 1.5k chapters with only a few scenes showing what happened in between. Not only do we exclude him becoming a advanced level hunter which is the third stage we also skip over the death of Zhan Kong who taught mo fan and his best friend Zhang Xiao, not to mention the attempt to kill his sister Xin Xia.
