Hey all just started vermicomposting and I’m very excited. I have a few questions though that YouTube videos haven’t quite been able to cover. Do any of you blend up your food scraps in a blender before feeding your worms? Trying to learn the best way to feed them. Thanks!
I just started recently too. I have been chopping my scraps in to very small pieces but not actually blending them. It makes them into small digestible particles without making it into a complete liquid soup if you were to blend it. If you blend it too much and its all liquid you run the risk of drowning your worms depending on how much you pour in. The bedding will get too compact and not allow for air flow either. Butttt that's just what ive noticed. Maybe some people do pour a soup in for their worms!
