Windows patches wont install upon rebooting

I recently got a new SSD and did a full disk encryption on a fresh install of windows and now I cant get Windows to successfully patch after the encryption. It says it needs to reboot to install but when I do reboot nothing happens and they dont install. Any suggestions?
