I’ve never had a VFT before. Does it look ok?

I picked up this sad little guy from the clearance section at the local garden store. He was in the “death tube” and looks really pathetic and limp. The moss is damp and I gave it a little extra distilled water. Should I expect it to recover quickly or is it in dormancy? I feel like I’m in over my head with this one
