Hey y'all! I've recently taken a dive into plant life or bitten by the bug as they say.
Quick intro: As a young boy i was always fascinated by extreme plants whether it be carnies or cacti or the giant redwoods native to my SoB. Anyway, i kept a VFT in its little plastic pot on my dresser as a teen for about a year and then it died somehow(probably lack of dormancy). Double that elapsed lifespan, and now im working on decorating our misfit household with plants.
I started off by picking up 3 VFTs and a fish bowl at Walmart(about 5-6 weeks ago)(its about to be August here in SE-NC). Plus, a bag of soil-mix off Amazon. Designed my planter, and set out to make something decorative that could easily be brought in or left outside.
And i can definitely say that its been successful. I have my first ever blooms and I couldn't be happier. They're just adorable. Im hoping that they pollinate and go to seed. I was considering adding some moss or decorations to it, but now I'm half curious to see if this container will go bananas.
When in doubt, do what feels right.
