I'm a full time college student, and up until the new year I have been working for the last 8 years, at different jobs but always working. Never stayed at a company for less than 6 months. Always got a great review and have been an overall hard worker. I got fucked over trying to transfer closer to my school as I was making a 2 hour commute each weekend to work last semester, because I only had classes 2 days a week and could do so. I now have classes 5 days a week, and can't make the commute.
But for the first time ever, the jobs I'm seeing that I have the experience for are all full time jobs during my class hours. So I can't work it. I've applied to 45, yes I counted, 45 different jobs in my area, and there are hundreds of open positions. Especially where I was trying to transfer to, and they're complaining that they have no one willing to work. No shit sherlock.
Places are hiring but no one is hiring at all. Like really? Just really? And these same jobs are complaining that they can't find people to work! You have people, ready to work, you just don't want to hire them at all. And these same places complain that they can't keep employees. I've been a manager before, literally treat your employees with respect and don't work them to death and 8 out of 10 times people will stay.
I just need money so I can afford to stay alive!
